My American Farm Fun!

Our chapter was chosen as one of three in the state of Illinois to integrate the My American Farm curriculum to our elementary school students! We were really excited to implement this program and to use our iPads and apps to teach younger students about agriculture. We had no idea just how much work goes into creating these plans! Today, we went to the kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms and talked to them about agriculture topics from animal products, equipment around the world to renewable energy! We used the iPads and app to showcase our abilities and use the games to show them all the possibilities of agriculture. We had a great time and want to thank all the elementary school teachers for welcoming us into their classrooms!

Members in attendance: Jenna Cowan, Sam Fleming, Allison Nehring, Morgan Johnson, Austin Suddeth, Olivia Harvell, Jacob Beauchem, Kurtis Rood, Zack Witek, Autumn Johaningsmeier, Madison Twitty, Sarah Diehl and Kayla McCormick
